WYNDHAM REEF RESORT GRAND CAYMAN – INFORMATION & POLICIES

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT

Check-in time is 4 pm / Check-out time is 11 am

Upon check-in, valid ID and a major credit card (debit cards not included) is required to guarantee incidental charges and allow charging privileges to the guestroom at the various Resort Food, Beverage and participating retail outlets. A credit hold of $50 per room per day will be processed during guest stay and released once account is paid in full and guest has checked out. Refundable cash deposit in stated amount is also accepted.

Must be 21 years or older to check-in.

SMOKING POLICY
The Wyndham Reef Resort is a non-smoking facility.  Smoking in rooms will incur a minimum $500 cleaning/penalty fee.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE
Daily full housekeeping service is provided for our resort guests.

For members and timeshare exchange guests we provide limited daily service including towel change, bathroom refresh, garbage removal and sweep through. In addition, full maid service is provided every Wednesday. Additional maid service is available upon request at an additional charge.

OCCUPANCY LIMITS
The maximum occupancy limits for each room category as per territory law:

  • Two Bedroom Villa – 6 Guests. Two bedrooms with 1 King Bed in Master Bedroom and 1 Queen bed in Guestroom plus two twin Murphy Beds in the living room.
  • One Bedroom Villa – 4 Guests. One bedroom with King bed plus two twin Murphy Beds in living room.
  • Beachfront Deluxe-2 Guests. One King bed
  • Studio – 2 Guests. One King bed.
  • Infants under 18 months are not included in our occupancy limits.

CRIBS
As per territory law, one crib may be provided free of charge in our Two Bedroom Villas or One Bedroom Villas. No cribs are allowed in our Beachfront Studio or Beachfront Deluxe rooms. Infants under 18 months are not included in our occupancy limits.

 PAYMENT POLICY

January 2, 2017 – December 22, 2017

  • Deposit policy – 1 night stay including all taxes and fees charged at the time of booking. Full amount of reservation including all taxes and fees to be charged 7 days prior to arrival.

December 23, 2017 – January 1, 2018

  • Deposit policy – 1 night stay including all taxes and fees charged at the time of booking. Full amount of reservation including all taxes and fees to be charged 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy

January 1, 2017 – April 22, 2017

  • Cancellation policy – Reservation must be cancelled at least 7 days prior to arrival by 4pm to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival will forfeit 100% of the reservation total including all taxes and fees.
  • No-show policy – No shows are charged 100% of the reservation total including all taxes and fees.
  • Early departure policy – Early departure reservations are non-refundable.

April 23, 2017 – December 22, 2017

  • Cancellation policy – Reservation must be cancelled at least 3 days prior to arrival by 4pm to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 3 days of arrival will forfeit 2 night penalty of the reservation total including all taxes and fees.
  • No-show policy – No shows are charged 100% of the reservation total including all taxes and fees.
  • Early departure policy – Early departure reservations are non-refundable.

 December 23, 2017 – January 1, 2018

  • Cancellation policy – Reservation must be cancelled at least 30 days prior to arrival by 4pm to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will forfeit 100% of the reservation total including all taxes and fees.
  • No-show policy – No shows are charged 100% of the reservation total including all taxes and fees.
  • Early departure policy – Early departure reservations are non-refundable.

Change of dates within the seasonal cancellation period will be allowed with a one night penalty as well as any difference in prevailing rates between original reservation and new travel dates.  Booking must be paid in full at the time of re-booking and becomes non-refundable. Travel must be completed within one year of the original arrival date. Some restrictions and black-out dates apply.

TAXES AND SERVICE CHARGES
All rates do not include and are subject to 13% government tax and 12% service charge.

RESORT FEE
A $30.00 per room/per night resort charge will be added to the room rates that includes the following:

SAFES
Please secure your valuables in your in-room safe, which is provided at no charge for your convenience.

PARKING
Self-parking is available complimentary

LUGGAGE STORAGE
Luggage storage is available through the front desk. Resort is not responsible for loss or damage of items left in storage.

COOLERS & GLASS
Coolers and glass are not permitted in the pool area or on the beach for safety reasons. The resort reserves the right to ask you to remove coolers and confiscate any glass containers found pool or beachside.

ATTIRE
Resort and casual wear is ideal- day and night at the resort. Proper footwear is required at all times, except for beach and poolside.  Cover-ups for the ladies and shirts for the gentlemen are required inside the resort lobby and restaurant. At Beach Bar, swimsuits are acceptable.

PET POLICY
No pets allowed.  Service dogs are allowed with proper documentation.

METHODS OF PAYMENT AND CURRENCY ACCEPTED
Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted.
No personal checks or Travelers Checks accepted.
Currency accepted:  US Dollars & Cayman Dollars.  Exchange rate is $1 CAYMAN DOLLAR = $1.25USD

HURRICANE POLICY
Traveling To The Wyndham Reef Resort

Guests holding a confirmed reservation who are unable to travel to The Wyndham Reef Resort because of the closing of the Grand Cayman airport or the resort due to implementation of either our National Hurricane Plan or the decision of the Wyndham Reef to close the resort have the option of a full refund or re-booking free of charge with a one-category room upgrade on the next visit taken any time before the end of the following year. (Valid for the summer/fall season, based on availability, some restrictions apply.)

Hurricane Policies – Vacation Disruption

Now, when you do travel to The Wyndham Reef, in the unlikely event that we do get some bad weather and guests are evacuated from The Wyndham Reef or would like to depart early in order to protect them from a potential hurricane threat, guests who are on a rental reservation will be offered the option of either:

  1. If guests are evacuated from The Wyndham Reef or would like to depart early in order to protect them from a potential hurricane threat, guests who are on a rental reservation will be offered the option of either a refund for their complete stay, including nights already stayed at the resort
  2. a refund for the remaining nights that were cut short from their vacation, plus in addition a certificate good for the original amount of nights of their stay up to three room nights in our summer/fall seasons through the end of the following year, based on availability, some restrictions apply

(Please note that some bookings not made directly with the resort may be non-refundable and the resort may not be able to reverse payment.)

For Timeshare stays we are unable to offer any refund or reschedule stays.
